Peter Rojas (Meta)
Peter is currently part of the product leadership team for Messenger at Meta, where he works on some of the company's biggest product challenges, particularly those that require coordination across different organizations and companies.
Previously, Peter served as the Head of Product for Meta's NPE (New Product Experimentation) group, leading incubations and early-stage explorations. Before joining Meta, he was a Founding Partner at Betaworks Ventures, a consumer-focused seed stage fund. Notable investments include Rec Room, Hugging Face, Bunch, Captain.tv, Squad, and Streem.
Peter has also founded four startups, including Gizmodo/Gawker Media (now part of G/O Media), Engadget/Weblogs Inc (acquired by AOL in 2005 and now part of Yahoo), RCRD LBL (a joint venture with Downtown Music), and gdgt (acquired by AOL in 2013). Prior to starting Betaworks Ventures, he was the VP of Strategy at AOL and Co-Director of AOL Alpha, the company’s experimental product group.
